Chilly Days in Manila

Top: Vintage, Thrift | Pants: H&M | Trench Coat: Topman | Bag: FjallRaven Kanken | Shoes: Depression | Accessories: Hater (Snapback) and eBay (Gold Necklace)

Some days it can get pretty chilly here in Manila, especially if it has been storming for the past few days. Gone are the blistering hot summer afternoons as we welcome the chilly winds. It's kinda scary to know that the year is going to come to an end in about a few months time, don't you think so?

It was still raining cats and dogs when I woke up that morning. I remembered my Lola was telling me to wearing a jacket out so I would stay dry. I decided to put on a coat instead of my usual vintage denim jacket for a change. Welcoming my very first trench coat that I manged to score at Topman's sale, I knew that this coat would become usefully in for my outfits.

Instead of putting on my usual go-to shoes (aka Creepers or Dr Martens) I've decided to give my outfit a kind of formal/preppy look to it by adding my Depression cut out shoes that Chris bought for me as a gift some time back.

Because I didn't have a leather satchel sling bag to finish the preppy look, I opted for my FjallRaven Kanken bagpack that I ordered just before I left Singapore. I remembered looking through the site to find the perfect school bag because I love the style of the Kanken bag packs. I immediately spotted the yellow shade first and instantly fell in love with it. My mum even tried talking me out to get another colour but I was persistent. Just like how I imagined it, I never regret getting the bag in Yellow. Every time I pair it with my outfit, it somehow brightens it up.

Till my next post!
