The main reason for a month of hiatus was because I was out and about compliing frozen memories of my first "official" summer break of my whole life. I am so glad that my break was a fruitful, enjoyable and relaxing one. Even though there were days where I wished I was in school, the other good days made up for the bad so nonetheless my summer break was something that I really enjoyed!
I have complied pictures that I have taken with my phone for this post to summarize the main events of my summer break. All photos have been edited using VSCO Cam, which I will explain why below. I'll be going into depth for some of these events mentioned below in the following posts to come because they are definitely post-worthy! I won't write much and let the pictures do the talking.
Emiko's 18th
A night I will definitely won't forget. My bitch (using that term in a loving way, just to clear things up!) turned 18 with a burlesque themed party that definitely made her whole party a special one. Seeing my closest friends and the rest of the guest dancing and having a great time in costumes was indeed an eye-opener for me because it has been years since I last attended a themed party.
Mini Stay-cation at Fontana
This happened right after Emiko's debut. A road trip out of town, somewhere new where my skin hasn't breathed it's air. A fun 2 days and 1 night stay at this resort that's definitely away from the bustling city life, this is one mini stay-cation that I will cherish forever. Adding on to the fun, I was there with some of my closest friends with almost absolute parental guidance. I spent the two days swimming and also absorbing as much fresh air as I can. I also took some pictures of the beautiful scenery (which I will do a post on) of my surroundings. Waking up to nothing my blues and greenery is indeed one thing I hope to experience again in my next break!
When Dad came to visit me!
My dad came to visit me during my break for 5 days. During his stay, he taught me how to drive and also sew using the sewing machine. He fixed my applications in my room, and also my grandmother's house. We also bonded over meals that includes just the two of us and also late night conversations that required me to constantly check on my dad to see if he was listening and not sleeping whilst me in the midst of expressing how I feel about things. It feels amazing to be spending time with a family member after being away from months. There were instances where we argued but I am just really so happy that my dad came over here to spend some time with me. I can't wait for the rest of the fambam to be here with me!
Bonding sessions with the 2nd Family
This group of people needs be on my journal more often seriously! They are like family to me at this point of college experience & they made my summer break an enjoyable one indeed. From sleepovers that include swimming to late night conversations which involve us trying to stay awake, there's nothing else I would want right now than to see our friendship bloom over the years. I'll be writing about them and my summer days with them in another post real soon!
Lastly, random snapshots of things (for photography purposes)
This isn't an event but it's actually a new hobby I picked up! Thanks to Android for finally having "VSCO CAM" on the play store, this app quickly became one of my favourite photography apps to use. This app has taught me to snap pictures of things from perspectives and also using the "9 grid square" rule (idk what it's called!!) to take different kinds of creative shots. I took quite a number of scenery shots with this app, which I will share over here soon. Bascally to summarize everything, this app actually got me started on my hobby for photograhpy! It might not be serious or professional, but this is one hobby that I really like to venture into!
So that's summarizes my summer, all into one post. Stay tuned for the upcoming posts which I have lined up!
