Tropical Green

This is the first post for this whole month. Hello! It's been a while since I last posted. These wonderful photos are taken by none other than Chris, my amazing friend and also photographer. Please check out his photography blog over here because his works are really really good! I have finally decided to revamp my layout once again because I felt the previous one was too messy and distracting! I hope ya'll like this current one because I really love it! I finally have a proper blog header too and yes Chris took that as well! It was taken some time back at a friend's party.

If ya'll have been following me on Instagram (@monstrousthoughts) you guys would have noticed that I dyed my hair green! Well a lot of people have been asking me why of all colours green. For starters, green isn't my favourite colour actually but i'd rather be wearing green than blue. Also, I wanted green hair for the longest time! Ever since the starting of 2012, I've been actually considering going green because I have been having brown hair for the longest time I can remember due to school rules. But it's funny how I always have at least
one green colour item in my outfits.

For the location where we shot at, it was at Thomson. Some random areas that I've always wanted to try because I always notice them while on the the way home from school before. As for this outfit I decided to play with bright colours by matching this lovely tropical foresty green that I got from Philippines (which somewhat reminded me of prayforparis' forest -shirt) with a pair of bright yellow berms and a vintage blue denim jacket. Thank god the weather that day wasn't so bad if not I would have died because that jacket is somewhat thick!

My sister and her boyfriend recently got me a pair of Depression platforms because they were on sale and I honestly love them to death! Though the quality isn't that great at first cause the behind part keeps on coming out, I manged to solve the problem by hammering nails. I got the idea from DIY tutorials on how to make your own platform shoes in Youtube. In fact, i'm gonna try to do my own pair of DIY platform gladiator sandals! The necklace was also DIY and I got them from Daiso! They were originally chains from a dog leash but I re-did them (which wasn't easy by the way!) and double layered them since it was too long.

The bag is an inspired version of Celine's Luggage Tote bag which I got from flea while I was also there selling stuff. Apparently when I first checked it out I realized the quality of leather is actually way better than the other inspired ones I saw before. Yes I know you are probably wondering why I actually bothered to get an inspired one instead of the original. It's because I cannot afford such an expensive bag and I really wanted one and I was already lucky enough to find a good quality inspired version. The lady who sold the bag told me she got it from Shanghai which may be the reason as to why the quality is good!

Well I think that's all for this post. Stay tune for the next update!
