Hey guys! Back with another outfit post! This time round I'll be featuring my one-of-a-kind DIYed ombre pants! If you have been following me on twitter, you would know that a few weeks back, I actually attempted on my very first Ombre Shirt and Pants DIY project. It was my first time working with fabric dye and the fun part is that I forget that I should wear rubber gloves when handling with the dye and it resulted in my left hand being green (like Hulk's) for about a week plus! Other than that careless mistake, the results were great but I think I want to dip the ends of each of the clothing one more time soon to get a rich and deep green effect.
My inspiration for the colours? Well I couldnt decide between grey and green but because I am a fan of bright colours and the fact that Sean's Ombre suit really caught my eye before made me chose the brightest shade of green I could find. Well here are the results! I really really love how the gradient effect showed up but I had to dip it twice! I would be doing a few more DIY projects with fabric dye soon!
Anyways, I wore this outfit just now to go for church and I actually planned on going Blue X Brown today but then I suddenly felt like going all bright so this was a last minute outfit! The reason why this look is called "That China Shirt" is because earlier on someone actually said that shirt looks like a tourist/traveler shirt and I remembered the label inside stated that is from some silk factory in China and so that's how I came up with that random name.
I recently purchased that vintage bag from the usual Thrift Store and that bag was like love at first sight. I saw it lying around the moment I entered the store and I immediately said to my friends I had to get that! I like how the two shirts blended well together because one is loud and the other is neutral and I also like the gold vintage watch my dad gave me a few days after my birthday because somehow it worked well with almost all my outfits that I wore together with it. The usual low-cut Docs are starting to become like my everyday shoe because also seem to go well with almost everything! Brought the camo jacket along with me because I needed it when I was in the cold place after church.
Oh wells check out the candid shots my sister took while her boyfriend was helping me snap shots using my phone below!
Ending off this post with some random photos of my mum because I styled her up halfway writing this post. If only she had some chunky gold accessories, it would go very well it her outfit!
Till my next post!
