L'ILE AUX ASHBY POP UP STORE

Hey readers! So last Friday, which was on Friday the 13th (OOOO BAD LUCK!!!!), Hee Young aka @hopping_bunny96 went to check out L'ILE AUX ASHBY POP UP STORE because I got invited by John Tan/Street Peek and because I was also curious of what the whole event was.

But before that... This was what I wore to the event!

Boots: Dr Martens

Accessories: Costume Booth (Fedora), Vintage, Thrift (Clutch) and H&M (Shades)

Clutch: Was originally a sling bag but she cut off the straps to make it look like a clutch! Flea, Thrift  

When we first got off the cab, Hee Young and I both asked each if we were at the right location because the place looked so quiet! But after walking for a while we saw the event’s poster and we knew we were at the right place. When we got in, fanastic designs and bright colours greeted us! Okay you must be wondering what this whole event is about. Well this was what I found in the event page itself:

Personally I really love the designs a lot because of the bright colours the designer used, along with the geometrical shapes. Even though all the different shapes that were used in each piece are similar, each outfit always looked different because the designer really played out with the colours and how he placed the shapes together. The colour schemes that were used reminded me of robots for some reason too.

The accessories really got most of my attention because personally I have never seen such amazing pieces put together! It looks like a toy but in a form of an accessory. It kind off reminded of aztec jewelry at first but after taking a good look at it, I realized that it is really one of a kind! The shapes, again emphasis of the geometric shapes, when all the shapes got meshed together it turned out to look different! If you observed each piece carefully it’s actually all one of a kind because of the colours used as well.

Thanks John for the invites and yes now I have another place to invest some of my cash on. These items are a must have in my wardrobe because the bright colours can be used to brighten up some of my darker outfits!
