So if you guys read my tweets 2 weeks ago, you'd have probably found out that I was invited by Poshism to their very first fashion event which is called Fashion Feud. Okay to summarize what Fashion Feud is all about, here is their video!
Basically Fashion Feud is a competition that took place within all the polytechnics in Singapore to see which poly has got style. The top 5 finalists will then have walk the runway in a themed-contest to compete for the grand prize! Sounds really cool right? Sigh I wish I got the chance to take part in the competition but sadly I'm talking my O's this year....
I attended the event with Trishna and her friends, Bryan and Beatrice. They were all very very nice and it was my first time meeting Bryan and Beatrice too. They are all from the same course which I want to take next year and therefore I am determine to work really hard and get into their course! It was good going with a bigger group like what Trish said because in that way you would not feel so left out because it was a whole new environment for all of us and I believe its their first time attending such events too!
The event began with all the Top 5 finalists showcasing and expressing what they came up with according to how they interpreted the theme "STATEMENT".

I personally really love Anza's and Nabilla's outfits because they really put in extra effort just to make their outfits ON THEIR OWN! The way their outfits really turned out unique because it's like one-of-a-kind and the patience and efforts into sewing just to come up with those outfits. I am really really impressed by them! The rest of the finalists also did a great job in piecing their outfits together and playing around with the theme, according to what the theme means to them.
After introducing all the finalists, the programmed moved on to the best dress competition and it really shocked me because....

I WON THE FREAKING COMPETITION AMONG THE REST OF THE PEOPLE UP THERE!!!!!!
Okay I know like I sound like as though Im over-reacting but to be hones I did not expect to win. On the way to meet Trishna, I told her I felt really under-dressed for the event and winning the best dressed really changed my whole view of my outfit after that night! See my reaction in that picture? Yeah I was shocked when they said we have to do some sexy dance on stage and everyone's eyes are on you!
You must be thinking I felt really embarrassed by then. Well to be honest actually I was not at all because my inspiration for my dance moves all came from the random dance outbreaks I had in school so dancing to "SEXY AND I KNOW IT - LMFAO" wasn't so difficult! All of us won mobile phones after dancing which was really awesome because that was really mt first time wining a mobile phone!
After the best dress competition, it was time to announce the winners of FASHION FEUD 2012.
And the winner of FASHION FEUD 2012 is...........
ANZA!!!!!!
Really felt happy for him because he looked so unique with his outfit! I really really love his pants because they reminded me of Versace prints and he really had the confidence to pull of a look with consisted of a really long blouse/dress-like top. The other two finalists who also won are Rachel and Elizabeth. Congratulations to all the finalists!!!! I really think everyone did a great job!
After the whole event has ended, Bryan had to leave first and so it was just Beatrice, Trishna and I. We mingled around for a while more and got some more photos taken.
I swear I remembered there were more photos taken after the event but I only could find this!
I found this whole experience really enjoyable and memorable because it was really my first time being invited to a fashion event and winning the best dress made my night even wayyyyyyyy better! I also loved the fact that I had mini small fashion conversations with people I dont even know at all because I've always wanted to discuss fashion to other people besides my friends and family members and hearing what some of those people's views and thoughts about fashion really seemed interesting. I would definitely love to be part of FASHION FEUD 2013!
After the event, Beatrice, Trishna and I went to have supper at some place which was near Zouk and we took some photos as we didnt manage to get a chance to do so before and during the event. Pictures can be found at my previous post!
