Hello readers! I just woke up from my 13hour sleep after I went for the Sundown Marathon which took place on Saturday from 3pm all the way to Sunday until around 8am plus? Yes it was an overnight event, well more like a CIP to me. But i really had fun!
I went to out station with Kenneth, Jeremy, Darrick and with some other people. Carolyn was in charge of us and ass soon as we got the admin stuffs settled we boarded the bus to go to our station. When i found out i was grouped alone i was kinda pissed. Not because i'm alone but because the next pair is about 1KM away. Plus the place is very ulu-ulu(creepy). Behind me was some forested area looking ish.
About 6 the first race ran. It was the 10KM run. Surprisingly the first man you ran it finished in 30mins? Which was rather fast because there were some that finished it in almost 2 hours. I stationed alone, still. But that the same time encouraged people. At first i didn't wanna say anything but just smiled at them.
After a while i decided to walk over to Jeremy's place to just do the remaining CIP there because i hate doing it alone. From there that was were the fun began. We did so much things together. Sleeping, snapping photos, playing lame hand games, card games, gossiping(LOL i know right?), talking and so much more. We cheered the next 21KM race runners on and some time after the 42KM runners started as well.
Baically, the last runner of the 42KM race finished it off around 8plus in the morning and the race started at 10pm. Heard from a lot of runners that the 42KM run was really tough and stuff. Not a joke.
Carolyn was awesome, got to interact with her unlike my previous leaders plus even joked around with her. She was stationed with Darrick too. Okay enough with words, pictures shall do the talking. :)
